Paul Cezanne is my hero, of the arts. This image probably best exemplifies my interest in his work.The bridge, in this image, can be found in San Diego's Balboa Park. The light and shadows move across the hill in a crescendo followed by a cool tranquil afterglow.

Since 1997, I have been working full time as a fine art professional of oil painting in the plein air genre. Taking my easel and paints to the outdoors, setting up and painting what I see. My style has evolved from a more rendering approach to painting with less detail and more brush stroke. Traveling to other cities, states and countries has "broadened my horizon." Different light, landscapes, architecture and culture bring new excitement to my work. Exhibiting in galleries, museums and art clubs have played a important role in my career.
